What is CBG?
CBG, or cannabigerol, is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant, often referred to as the “”parent”” of all cannabinoids because it’s the chemical precursor to many other cannabinoids, including THC and CBD. Here in Australia, CBG is produced in significant amounts in young cannabis plants, but as the plant matures, it is transformed into other cannabinoids, leaving only traces of CBG in mature plants. Research suggests that CBG may offer anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, and antiemetic benefits.
